 WHO'S IT GOING TO BE?

To begin with, it's all about the characters.  To the right is a sample collection of customizable characters.  You can choose to tell the story of a punk rocker out to save the planet, or a gravity-challenged balloon salesman.  Perhaps you want to create a character mosaic.  It's up to you.

CREATE A NEW WORLD

Next, we set the stage.  Using some modern design software, you can drop your characters of choice into all kinds of worlds.  This playground is an example of the the type of platform your storybook might use.  However, your story could just as easily take place under the ocean or on the moon.

Once the scenes and characters are in place, your story will go where ever your imagination takes it.  It's up to you to name characters, add any dialog and control the direction of the story.

PUT IT ON THE SHELF

After you've made your storybook, your editor will help put on some final touches.  That could include a wide array of things to give your book the same professional look and feel as those you see in bookstores.  Of course, you'll need to title your book and create a cover.  And, your editor will collect some basic information from you (age, family size, inspirations, etc.) for the VERY important author's page.

Currently, we are only able to publish books in paperback form, other than in a few rare circumstances.  However, your unique book will be a one-of-a kind keepsake for you and your family.

You can see some examples of storybooks created by kids right here in Kansas City on the next page.
